City turns up heat over hospital delays

By this time next year, either the building foundations for Temecula’s first hospital will be in place, or the developer will lose its permits and forfeit $5 million to the city.

Those are the terms the City Council gave Universal Health Services late Tuesday after allowing the developer’s request to build a scaled-down first phase for Temecula Regional Hospital, which has yet to be built despite its approval five years ago.
