California health care brass mull possible outcome from budget plan

One day after Gov. Jerry Brown unveiled his proposed budget, local health care officials were busy Tuesday assessing the potential impact of the governor’s proposed health care spending cuts. Brown’s proposal would:

* Cut Medi-Cal reimbursements to doctors and nursing homes by 10 percent;

* Limit doctor visits for Medi-Cal patients to 10 per year, and limit prescriptions to six per month, except for lifesaving drugs;
