Calif. governor vetoes adult health care plan, signs bill for fee-based care

Gov. Jerry Brown vetoed legislation Tuesday to create a scaled-down version of the state’s Adult Day Health Care program slated for elimination Dec. 1. The proposed “look-alike” does not address the immediate need of moving clients to other home or community-based care and it will cause confusion, Brown said in his veto message for Assembly Bill 96.
