Buyouts extended to Salinas hospital union employees
The Californian - Salinas

For the second time this year, the Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System is offering a number of its employees buyout offers — a proactive measure officials say will help save millions of dollars. SVMHS officials said they anticipate 165 union employees will accept voluntary buyout offers by the Oct. 18 deadline.

“This work will result in the sustainable long-term outcomes needed to maintain Salinas Valley Memorial’s mission in the Central Coast region,” said Bev Ranzenberger, vice president of operations for SVMHS.
