The Alameda County Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to spend $2 million to help preserve St. Rose Hospital in Hayward and authorized negotiations for a partnership with Washington Hospital and other stakeholders. The board voted 4-0, with Supervisor Nadia Lockyer absent, to transfer $2 million to help meet the hospital’s short-term operational and financing needs. The county already has raised $50 million since 2006 to keep St. Rose open, Supervisor Wilma Chan said.
