HHS said that about $100 million in federal funding through the Affordable Care Act will be used to construct and renovate school-based health centers. The funding will support about 200 grants for fiscal 2011 that are a part of the Health Resources and Services Administration’s School-Based Health Center Capital program. “These new investments will help school-based health centers establish new sites or upgrade their current facilities to keep our children healthy,” HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said in a news release.
