We invite you to join us for a special, regional briefing on the COVID-19 crisis. This 45-minute briefing is intended for legislators and their chiefs of staff only, and will cover:

  • Case load (and projections for the coming weeks and months)
  • Hospital capacity data
  • Vaccine distribution
  • Hospital financial position
  • How legislators can support hospitals in the coming weeks and months

Frontline Perspectives to be Shared
In addition to CHA’s President & CEO, Carmela Coyle, the briefing will feature two hospital presenters from your region to share a ground-level view of what’s going on in your communities.

We’ll have ample time for discussion and to answer your questions.

Carmela Coyle
President & CEO

Carmela Coyle began her tenure as President & CEO of the California Hospital Association, the statewide leader representing the interests of more than 400 hospitals and health systems in California, in October 2017. Previously, Ms. Coyle led the Maryland Hospital Association for nine years, where she played a leading role in reframing the hospital payment system in Maryland and moving to a value-based methodology. Maryland is now considered a national leader in health care policy and innovation.

Kathryn Austin Scott
Senior Vice President, State Relations and Advocacy

Kathryn Austin Scott has over 20 years of experience in public policy and serves as the association’s head lobbyist in Sacramento where she directs the California lobbying team.
