Webinar to Focus on Mortality and Life Expectancy in Rural Areas

The National Advisory Committee on Rural Health and Human Services will host a webinar Jan. 28 at 11 a.m. (PT) on its recent policy brief, Mortality and Life Expectancy in Rural America. Dr. Gopal Singh of the Health Resources and Services Administration provided data to the committee,  showing a decline in life expectancy in parts of the rural U.S. The webinar, hosted by Committee Chair Ronnie Musgrove, former Governor of Mississippi, will present the committee’s findings on mortality and life expectancy, the impact on people’s lives and the committee’s recommendations to the secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services.
