Web Seminar to Introduce OSHPD Electronic Services Portal
New system features, plan approval process and reviews covered Nov. 17

All hospital personnel and designers involved with projects that require review by the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) Facilities Development Division should know how to access OSHPD’s new Electronic Services Portal (e-SP). To help explain e-SP, CHA is offering a two-hour web seminar Nov. 17 from 10 a.m. to noon (PT).

Using e-SP, hospitals will be able to determine the real-time status of projects and access all applicable forms. This new system replaces OSHPD’s old logbook, and will result in standardized plan and field review processes and a higher level of consistency among geographic plan review regions.

The web seminar will explain the purpose and features of the new system, and show participants how e-SP will influence health care projects under OSHPD jurisdiction. Changes in business processes and procedures that will affect plan approval process, phased and incremental reviews, and field reviews will be discussed.

An introductory overview of the revised application forms used to support the e-SP system will be provided, with tips for properly completing the forms. Features and future developments of the new e-SP citizen access portal will be discussed, and techniques for locating project-specific information and review status will be demonstrated during the seminar.

Faculty for the web seminar will include John Gillengerten, district structural engineer, and Gary Dunger, chief fire life safety officer, from OSHPD.

The program is recommended for facility managers, health care architects, structural, electrical and mechanical engineers, construction project managers, inspectors of record and all other members of the construction project team.

Web seminar tuition is $185 per connection for members and $250 per connection for nonmembers. Multiple staff may listen in for one connection fee. For more information or to register, visit
