Upcoming Conference Will Highlight Importance of Hospital Volunteers
More than 140 hospitals to participate; registration still available

At the upcoming California Hospital Volunteer Leadership Conference, Sharp HealthCare Executive Vice President Daniel L. Gross, DNSc, will host a general session explaining why volunteers remain vital to health care, despite the increasing challenges hospital leaders face. Though providers must respond to technology demands, financial pressures, workforce shortages, access challenges, population health and system expansion, and the challenge to maintain highly reliable organizations, volunteers remain an important part of health care. This session — in addition to more than 35 educational workshops throughout the conference — will spotlight the core elements of why volunteers are used in health care and how this important group provides services, funds and advocacy for hospitals.

The conference program and registration are available online. A limited number of reservations are still available at the conference hotel, the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina.
