Summit to Focus on Health Information Exchange in Emergency Services
Event will take place April 19-20

The California Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA) has announced the 2016 HIE in EMS Summit, to be held April 19-20 at the Hyatt Regency Orange County in Garden Grove. The event will host EMS professionals from across the nation and will include speakers from EMSA’s federal, state and regional partners. The conference will address:

  • Sustainability of health information exchange infrastructure
  • Health information exchange policy direction in California and nationwide
  • Electronic Patient Care Record innovation to facilitate health information exchange (HIE) in EMS
  • National EMS Information System evolution and integration with HIE efforts
  • Interoperability requirements, barriers and progress
  • Consumable data and data governance standards development
  • Physician Orders for Life Sustaining Treatment (POLST) eRegistry development and interconnectivity
