Statewide Health Workforce Clearinghouse Launched

The Healthcare Workforce Clearinghouse is now available to access data and reports on the number of health care providers in California by occupation and geographic area. Housed within the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development, the clearinghouse provides comprehensive statewide- and county-level data on California’s health professions’ workforce in an easy-to-access online location.

Reports can be produced identifying the number of health providers by occupation, age, gender, race, ethnicity and languages spoken. Clearinghouse data sources include the Board of Registered Nursing, California Medical Board, Physician Assistant Committee, Naturopathic Medicine Committee, Respiratory Care Board of California, Board of Vocational Nurses and Psychiatric Technicians, California Department of Public Health, Employment Development Department’s Labor Market Information Division and California Postsecondary Education Commission.
