State Mini Grants Available for Programs Encouraging Health Careers

The Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development has announced that the grant cycle for its Mini Grant Program will be open from Jan. 22 through Feb. 22. The program encourages underrepresented and disadvantaged groups to pursue health careers in California. Applications will be accepted from public, private non-profit and private for-profit organizations, including hospitals (individuals are not eligible to apply).

Funding will be awarded for programs in two categories: health career conferences and/or workshops (up to $12,000 per program), and health career exploration programs that include direct interaction with health care professionals in real or simulated settings (up to $15,000 per program).
