The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will host the rescheduled call on the mandatory radiation oncology (RO) payment model on Oct. 8 at 11 a.m. (PT). The payment model was established earlier this month under CMS’ Specialty Care Models final rule.

The listening session will include a high-level overview of the model and instructions on the initial steps RO model participants need to complete in preparation for the model start on Jan. 1, 2021. Participation in the model is mandatory in the randomly selected ZIP codes identified by CMS. CHA has prepared a spreadsheet that crosswalks CMS’ selected ZIP codes with cities in California.

Registration is not required; the session can be accessed by dialing (888) 455-1397 and entering passcode 4133241#.

Presentation slides will be posted on the RO model website ahead of the call. A transcript and audio recording will be posted following the call. CMS has also released an updated frequently asked questions document addressing stakeholder questions about the RO model.
