Registration Open for Annual Consent Law and Related Health Care Law Seminar
Attendees receive free 2015 Consent Manual

Seven dates have been set for the popular Consent Law and Related Health Care Law Seminar, to be held throughout California on April 28 in San Diego, April 29 in Ontario, May 12 in Glendale, May 13 in Costa Mesa, May 20 in Sacramento, May 21 in Berkeley and May 28 in Fresno.

This year’s seminar will feature sessions on requirements for mandated reporting, including often-overlooked conditions and new workplace violence regulations; the impact of electronics in health care settings; updates on privacy breaches; and end-of-life care and decision making. The popular critical thinking session will feature more out-of-the-ordinary patient situations to challenge participants’ analysis skills. A session on new laws and health care updates is also planned.

Veteran faculty includes Susan Penney, director of risk management for the University of California San Francisco clinical enterprises, and Suzanne van Hall, private practice attorney of van Hall Law Office. New to this year’s program is Johanna Klohn, chief risk officer for the University of California Los Angeles Health System.
