Post-Acute-Care Fall Seminar Set for Oct. 25

CHA’s Post-Acute-Care Fall Seminar will be held Oct. 25 in Pasadena. The seminar is tailored to health care providers practicing in medical rehabilitation and distinct-part skilled-nursing facilities (DP/NF).

The seminar will feature general and breakout sessions on industry issues, including outcomes research and the implications for policy development in post-acute care; the role of physical medicine and rehabilitation under reform; and determining DP/NF value beyond the bottom line. A California legislative update and panel discussion on how to cultivate community partnerships to decrease readmissions also will be presented.

Participants are invited to attend a special, pre-conference session to hear an update on CHA’s recently formed Center for Post-Acute Care and its plans for the coming year.

A limited number of rooms are available at the host hotel, the Pasadena Hilton, on Oct. 24 for $129 for single or double occupancy. For reservations, call (626) 577-1000 and mention the “California Hospital Association” to receive the special rate.

Tuition is $295 for members and $500 for nonmembers. To register or for more information, go to Contact: Liz Mekjavich, (916) 552-7500,
