Population Health Management Program Opens to Rave Reviews
Not too late to register; all programs will be recorded

CHA’s five part-certification series on Population Health Management (PHM) kicked off Tuesday with the first webinar, A Framework for PHM. Members who attended responded positively about the program, including:

“CHA engaged in this work with Kaufman Hall to help California member hospitals strengthen their position in the ever-changing health care delivery system,” said Anne McLeod, CHA’s senior vice president for health policy and innovation. “Population health management is the direction health care is moving as hospitals are challenged to enhance patient care quality, access and experience, while reducing costs.”

The next webinar, Business Imperatives of Population Health Management, is June 2 from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. This module will address the business challenges in developing PHM care models and delivery networks, including how to configure a network to achieve adequate coverage, desired market position, and high-quality care and positive outcomes. “Build, buy or partner” options for network development will be explored, along with key business skills for operating a successful PHM delivery network, including contracting, cost management, consumer engagement, and marketing and communications.

Registration remains open for all programs, including the April 28 webinar. All programs are being recorded, so those who missed the first webinar or cannot participate on the day of the future programs can access the recordings afterward. To access to the recordings, simply register at A Certificate in Population Health Management will be issued to everyone who completes all five programs.
