Perils and Pitfalls of Liability Insurance Contracting Covered in Webinar

Every year, California hospitals spend millions of dollars purchasing liability coverage. Some are paying even more to settle claims on coverage they thought they had, but don’t. In many cases coverage may hinge on tiny contract details or claim process requirements. To help hospital management learn the critical nuances of liability coverage and contracting, CHA will hold a webinar Oct. 10 from 10 a.m. – noon (PT).

Webinar faculty will explain what to look for when purchasing coverage, how to respond when a claim is denied, and offer contract review pointers and steps to follow when filing a claim. In addition, a hospital CEO will share insights from a recent liability insurance claim and provide insight into how the hospital overcame attempts of coverage denial.
