OSHPD Posts County-Based Trends in Health Care Quality

The Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) has announced the availability of state and county rates for 30 indicators of community health care quality based on hospital discharge data. OSPHD’s Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality Area-level Quality Indicator Tables (2005-2011) and Trend Charts (2007-2011) include prevention, pediatric, inpatient and patient safety quality indicators. While not measures of hospital quality, the data are intended to be used in planning efforts focused on improving the quality of health care in a community.
