Office of Inspector General Launches Compliance Resource Portal
Also updates work plan

The Department of Health & Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) has launched a new Compliance Resource Portal to assist organizations in ensuring compliance with federal health care laws. The portal features toolkits, advisory opinions, special fraud alerts, guidance and other resources.

The OIG has also updated its Work Plan, which sets forth projects that are underway or planned to be addressed by OIG’s Office of Audit Services and Office of Evaluation and Inspections. The update includes a mandatory review ensuring dually eligible beneficiaries’ access to drugs under Part D, a review of the funding and transfer of Medicaid nursing home supplement payments, and the collection of Medicare overpayments as identified in OIG audit reports.
