New Round of Mental Health Wellness Grants Available
Deadline to apply is March 8

The California Health Facilities Financing Authority (CHFFA) has announced that grant funds remain available for a fifth round of funding from the Investment in Mental Health Wellness Grant Program. As a statewide competition for funding, the grants will have no regional or county maximums. A list of available funding by program, as well as an application, are available on CHFFA’s website.

Up to $3 million of the original appropriation may be used to develop peer respite sites. The sites are expected to expand local resources for the development, capital, equipment acquisition and applicable program startup or expansion costs, ultimately increasing bed capacity for peer respite support services. At its Jan. 5 meeting, the CHFFA Board unanimously adopted the emergency regulations for peer respite. Applications for the peer respite care grants will be available on CHFFA’s website after approval by the Office of Administrative Law.
