New Health Information Exchange Collaboration Formed
Transfer of trust bundle announced

The California Association of Health Information Exchanges (CAHIE) announced last week that it has formed a collaboration with the National Association for Trusted Exchange (NATE) to more effectively enable health information sharing among providers and between providers and consumers. As part of the collaboration, NATE will transition administration of its Provider-to-Provider Trust Bundle to CAHIE. The trust bundle was the first national framework dedicated to facilitating direct messaging among providers and currently enables exchange among organizations across the nation, including in California, Oregon, Utah and Alaska.

CAHIE will convene a new national forum to establish consensus policies and procedures to manage and govern the new national provider trust bundle. More information is available in the attached press release.
