New Guidelines Available for Quality Palliative Care

The National Consensus Project for Quality Palliative Care has updated its Clinical Practice Guidelines for Quality Palliative Care, now available for hospitals to review and download. The guidelines emphasize shared responsibility in palliative care and collaborative partnerships between hospitals, community centers, hospices and home health agencies. Organized into eight palliative care domains, the guide describes best practices in each and helps providers create their own program blueprint.
