New Funding Opportunities Announced for California Safety Net Providers
Foundation to host webinars on RFA process Feb. 13 and 20

Blue Shield of California Foundation is now requesting applications for two initiatives designed to support California’s safety net providers in developing new approaches that more effectively meet the needs of their patients. The foundation will offer an informational webinar to discuss each of the available requests for application (RFA) — for the Expanding Access Through Team Care program on Feb. 13, and for the Advancing Primary Care and Behavioral Health Integration through Community Collaboration program on Feb. 20.

Expanding Access Through Team Care
The foundation invites applications from California community health centers and county-operated clinics for this initiative, which aims to improve primary care access for low-income Californians through innovative, team-based care models within the safety net. More information and how to apply. An optional informational webinar for the RFA will be offered  Feb.13, 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (PT). Registration is required; refer to the RFA for details.

Advancing Primary Care and Behavioral Health Integration through Community Collaboration
The foundation also invites applications for this initiative, which aims to improve the integration of primary and behavioral health care in the safety net by supporting communities in collaborative planning and action to achieve system-level transformation. More information and how to apply. An optional informational webinar for this RFA will be held Feb. 20 from 11 a.m. – noon (PT). Registration is required; refer to the RFA for details.
