The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has launched a new website dedicated to the hospital price transparency final rule. The website includes resources for hospitals to assist with compliance, which is required by Jan. 1.
The resources include a compliance checklist, frequently asked questions, and step-by-step guides for complying with the machine-readable file and shoppable services requirements.
The website also provides information for consumers intended to help them better understand the information hospitals will be required to report, as well as a contact form for individuals to report to CMS hospitals that are not in compliance.
