Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Services Integration Task Force Meets Monday
Discussion to include mental health and substance use disorder integration, and state’s 1115 Medicaid Demonstration Waiver

The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) will convene a Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Services (MHSUDS) Integration Task Force meeting Nov. 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Sacramento. The task force is comprised of experts from the mental health, substance use disorder and primary care fields, and county services. The purpose of the meeting is to gather input and feedback on MHSUDS issues as DHCS works on integration efforts, including its work on the state’s 1115 Medicaid Demonstration Waiver. DHCS Director Toby Douglas and MHSUDS Deputy Director Karen Baylor will kick off the meeting. In addition, California State Senator Darrell Steinberg is an invited moderator. The meeting is open to the public either in person or via conference call.  Public comment will be accepted during the meeting and by email to MHSUDStakeholderInput@dhcs.ca.gov. Comments may be submitted after the meeting through Nov. 14.
