May 13 Is Mental Health Matters Day

Mental Health Matters Day will be held May 13 at the State Capitol in Sacramento. With goals of educating the community and building awareness about mental health and wellness, the event features a keynote address by Senate President pro Tem Darrell Steinberg (D-Sacramento). Congresswoman Doris Matsui and State Senator Jim Beall (D-San Jose) will also provide their perspectives on mental health leadership and policy. In addition to distinguished speakers, the day’s events include interactive exhibits, a walk on Capitol Mall, a Sacramento River Cats game and an awards ceremony.
