For CEOs, CFOs, government relations executives

In a large showing of bipartisan support, 47 of the 53 members of the California congressional delegation sent a letter urging Speaker Pelosi and Minority Leader McCarthy to eliminate the scheduled cuts to Medicaid disproportionate share hospitals (DSH) for two years.

CHA thanks Reps. Cook (R-CA-8) and Harder (D-CA-10) for leading this important letter, which acknowledges the vital role the Medicaid DSH program plays for hospitals serving uninsured and underinsured people. CHA also thanks the member hospital leaders who reached out to their congressional representatives.

Congress is currently working on extending the delay of Medicaid DSH cuts, postponing the effective date from Nov. 21 to Dec. 20. CHA continues to press for the elimination of the cuts beyond these short-term delays.
