Limited Space Remains for California Physician Leadership Program
Program capped at 40 participants

Seats are filling up for the California Physician Leadership Program, an interactive training program designed to enhance physicians’ strategic leadership and critical thinking skills and increase physician engagement. Individuals interested in participating in the 2017-18 session should enroll soon to secure their space.

The 14-day program provides a comprehensive curriculum that covers a wealth of topics relevant to physicians today, including health care policy, personal and professional leadership, emerging health care delivery systems, health care laws and regulations, the political environment, the dynamics driving change in health care and more.

Prominent health care leaders and highly regarded USC Marshall School of Business faculty will lead the program, including:

  • Gary Kaplan, MD, FACP, FACME, FACPE, chairman and CEO, Virginia Mason Health System
  • Schumarry Chao, MD, MBA, clinical professor, USC School of Medicine and School of Pharmacy
  • Helen Macfie, PharmD, chief transformation officer, MemorialCare Health System
  • Terance Wolfe, PhD, associate professor, clinical management and organization, USC Marshall School of Business
  • Julie Morath, RN, MS, CPPS, president/CEO, Hospital Quality Institute
  • Morgan McCall, PhD, professor emeritus, management and organization, USC Marshall School of Business

Classes are held on a Friday and Saturday each month from October 2017 to April 2018, and take place on or near the USC campus. Physicians can earn up to 105 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ provided by the USC Keck School of Medicine.
