HQI Launches Public Reports Information on Website

The most commonly asked questions from hospital CEOs and staff about publicly reported quality measures are related to listings, rankings, report cards and recognition. In response to these inquiries and the growing number of such reports, the Hospital Quality Institute (HQI) today launched a new “Public Reports” section on its website. The new information offers hospitals a single source of background information on 11 different reports and identifies the history, data sources, measures, methodology and intention for each.

HQI’s public reports web content is descriptive and informational but does not contain any hospital-specific results. It does not endorse the use of any report and directs visitors to the CHA Guidelines for Publicly Reported Measures for further information.
