HQI Announces 2018 Webinars and Workshops

The Hospital Quality Institute has announced new webinars and workshops to be held in the first months of 2018, including:

  • Reliable Event Response: Offered by Rory Jaffe, MD, executive director of CHPSO — the nation’s first and longest tenured patient safety organization —  who will share state-of-the art methods and tools to help effective response, prioritization, reporting and prediction of risk.
  • TeamSTEPPS, Next Generation: Offered by TeamSTEPPS master trainer Julia Slininger, RN, BS, certified professional in health care quality, who brings 10 years of experience working successfully with California hospitals.

In collaboration with Rady Children’s Hospital and the University of California, San Diego, the Hospital Quality Institute will also offer the following webinars:

  • Write A Winning Abstract: Judy Berg, PhD, RN, FANNP will help participants create an abstract that will be accepted for podium or poster presentation.
  • Data Display: Dr. Glenn Billman will explore how to select the best and most accurate visual display for quantitative data.
  • Present a Poster with Pizazz: Kathleen Sweeney, DNP, CNS, CPNP, will explore how to create a winning poster and attract visitors in seconds to view and discuss the project.
