House Votes to Repeal ACA

The U.S. House voted July 11 to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA) by a vote of 248-185 along party lines. While five Democrats joined the Republicans, none were members of the California congressional delegation. This vote represents the 33rd time the House has voted to repeal or defund ACA in its entirety or certain provisions of ACA. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has said the Senate will not vote on the bill.
