House Passes Bipartisan FDA User Fee Bill

The U.S. House of Representatives passed the Food and Drug Administration Safety and Innovation Act by a voice vote today. The bill contains CHA-supported language to mitigate current drug shortages. The bipartisan bill was released by the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions and the House Energy and Commerce committees on Monday after each chamber passed slightly different versions of prior legislation. The Senate is expected to pass the bill next week and the President has indicated he will sign the legislation into law.
