House Committees Favorably Report ACA Repeal/Replace Bills
Will now be heard in House Budget Committee

The House Ways and Means and Energy and Commerce committees passed their respective sections of the American Health Care Act on Thursday morning. The bills to partially repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act were introduced earlier this week and were reported out of the committees on party line votes without amendment. The House Budget Committee is scheduled to consider the measures next week to confirm that they meet required savings targets; the full House of Representatives could vote on the bills the week of March 20.
