Hospitals Encouraged to Send Volunteer Leaders to Upcoming Conference

CHA invites hospital volunteer leaders to attend the California Association of Hospitals and Health Systems (CAHHS) 2014 California Hospital Volunteer Leadership Conference, Feb.18 -21 at the Hyatt Regency Sacramento. This year’s conference features key speakers who will inspire volunteer leaders and encourage them to think differently about their role within the organizations they serve.

Today’s complex, challenging hospital environment demands “all hands on deck,” including volunteers. Trained, informed volunteer leaders enable hospitals to stretch their resources and stay on course toward improving patient satisfaction, quality and safety while reducing costs. It is invaluable for volunteer leaders to network with their peers across the state for inspiration, information and higher-level thinking. There is no better place to do so than at the CAHHS conference.

The CAHHS conference planning committee has extended personal invitations to all California hospital volunteer organizations, with the goal of recruiting representatives from each hospital. Registration is available exclusively online for attendees, exhibitors, sponsors and advertisers.  For more information and to register, visit

Great strides were made in 2013 toward expanding and educating the base of dedicated hospital volunteer leaders. Hospitals’ participation at this important conference will greatly assist the volunteer leadership community as it continues on this path in 2014.
