Hospitals Asked to Donate Supplies to Nepal Earthquake Relief Efforts

The death toll from the Nepal earthquakes has reached more than 9,000, and the needs of the Nepalese survivors grow more urgent with each passing day. MedShare, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving health care by redistributing surplus medical supplies and equipment to those most in need, has issued a request to providers to help address the shortage of supplies in Nepal. Hospitals and health systems can contribute to the relief effort through MedShare in a variety of ways, including:

• Sponsoring a container, or multiple containers, of supplies and equipment at a cost of $25,000 per container.

• Making a donation of supplies and/or equipment specifically for Nepal earthquake relief. Attached is a list of needed items. Depending on the size of the donation, MedShare can make arrangements to pick it up.

• Making a monetary donation to Nepal Earthquake Relief.
