Hospital Executives Urged to Participate in Federal Advocacy Program
Actively engage with congressional representatives as important decisions are being made

As Congress continues to contemplate repeal of the Affordable Care Act, it is vital that a replacement plan be clearly articulated to ensure millions of Californians have the health care coverage they need. California hospital leaders are urged to participate in the California Congressional Action Program — sponsored by CHA and the Regional Associations and being held May 7-10 in Washington, D.C. — to share their hospital stories and actively engage with congressional representatives and the new administration as important decisions are being made.

“We must work together with the California delegation to support optimal coverage for all Californians,” said CHA President/CEO C. Duane Dauner. “We need a strong contingent of California hospitals in D.C. to advocate for preserving the important progress we have made in California to expand coverage, improve quality and reform the delivery system.”

This annual program is held in conjunction with the American Hospital Association’s Annual Membership Meeting, drawing hospital leaders from across the country. For additional information and to register, visit www.calhospital.org/ccap. The deadline for discounted registration is Friday, April 7.
