Hospital Associations Establish Hospital Workers’ Fire Relief Fund

Since Oct. 8, multiple fires have burned throughout California and made thousands of people homeless, including more than 100 hospital employees. CHA and the Regional Associations are committed to helping hospital employees who have been significantly affected by the fires and have established the Hospital Workers’ Fire Relief Fund. The associations will donate $40,000 to the fund; we encourage additional donations from hospitals, hospital employees and other organizations.

CHA is collecting donations through its 501(c) 3 charitable organization, the California Health Foundation & Trust (CHFT), tax ID 94-1498697. One hundred percent of donations will be disbursed to hospitals that request assistance for their employees who were affected by the wildfires. 

Donations to the fund can be made online or by check — payable to “CHFT: Hospital Workers’ Fire Relief Fund” and mailed to CHFT, 1215 K Street, Suite 800, Sacramento, CA 95814. All donations are tax deductible, and donors will receive a receipt for tax purposes.
