Elaine Batchlor, MD, MPH, founding CEO of Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital in Los Angeles, has been honored with the Partners in Care Foundation’s Vision & Excellence in Healthcare Leadership Award. Dr. Batchlor received the award for her forward-thinking leadership in building a responsive model of community-wide care at the hospital.

In her acceptance remarks, Dr. Batchlor noted that the Partners in Care Foundation and MLK Hospital “share two important things — a commitment to vulnerable populations and a deep interest in creating new models to help our patients heal in community settings, where they can be surrounded by family, friends and trusted caregivers.”

The award presentation took place during Partners’ 20th Annual Tribute Dinner at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, which was attended by over 400 health care professionals and executives from hospitals, health plans, and related services located throughout California.
