EDGE Campaign Releases Recommendations on Workforce Development

The Education Diversity and Growth in the Economy (EDGE) Campaign has released a report on moving workforce development forward in California. CHA has been a member of the EDGE Campaign – a nonpartisan coalition of groups focused on California’s economic growth through the skill base of its workers – since 2010. The attached policy brief, Moving Forward: Workforce Development in California, highlights workforce achievements for the year and identifies some potential implementation challenges on the horizon. Although not specific to health, the recommendations in the report are consistent with the goals of CHA members.

According to the report, California made significant legislative and administrative progress this year on workforce development policy in the areas of adult education, career pathways, and regional and sector-focused partnerships. For more information about the EDGE Campaign, visit
