Discount Deadline Is Next Week for Rural Health Care Symposium
Register by March 7 to save on tuition, hotel rooms

CHA’s annual Rural Health Care Symposium will be held April 6-8 at the Rancho Bernardo Inn just north of San Diego. Rural health care executives who register by March 7 will receive substantial savings on tuition and hotel rooms. Registrations received after the deadline will increase $100. Participants are also advised to reserve rooms at the host hotel soon as room availability is limited. Overflow rooms have also been secured at a nearby hotel. Visit the website for full details on hotels and reservations.

This year’s theme, Construct for Change—Creating a Strategy for Sustainability, illustrates the need for hospitals to build operational frameworks that support and sustain health care reform mandates. Session highlights of this year’s symposium include identifying pathways to financial success from Keith Mueller, PhD, of the Rural Policy Research Institute; leadership development and strategies from Dan Collard of the Studer Group; and employing leadership methods to improve governance and enhance trustees’ contributions from Susan Meier of BoardSource. Critical access hospital workshops on family engagement, Lean methods and financial improvement are planned for April 6.
