DHCS Requests Feedback on Access Assessment Report

For CFOs, Government Relations Staff

This post has been archived and contains information that may be out of date.

The Department of Health Care Services has issued a draft report on primary, core specialty, and facility access to care for managed care beneficiaries, and requests stakeholder feedback by Aug. 19.

Required by Medi-Cal 2020 — the state’s 1115 waiver renewal — the report assesses access to care based on network adequacy requirements. It also provides a comparison of health plan network adequacy compliance across different lines of business, as well as recommendations for systemic network adequacy issues. Comments on the report can be emailed to DHCS at AccessAssessmentReportFeedback@hsag.com, using the subject line “CA Access Assessment Report Feedback,” and the department’s feedback form.

Members who wish to provide feedback for CHA’s comments should e-mail Amber Kemp by close of business on Aug. 9.
