DHCS Debuts Reorganized Medi-Cal Managed Care Expansion Website

The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) has launched a reorganized Medi-Cal managed care expansion website for partners and stakeholders. The website provides the following resources:

  • Updates – Updates on managed care expansion and Healthy Families Program transition.
  • Notices – Provider bulletins, County-Operated Health System notices, regional notices, San Benito notices, Imperial notices.
  • Resources – Health plan map by county, data regarding Medi-Cal eligibles by expansion county, plan contact information.
  • Stakeholder Resources – Stakeholder meeting agendas, summaries and presentations.
  • Request for Application

Beginning in June, the Governor’s budget expanded managed care into rural areas that are now fee for service (FFS) only. The expansion will provide beneficiaries throughout the state with care through an organized delivery system and includes the following  FFS counties: Alpine, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, Colusa, Del Norte, El Dorado, Glenn, Humboldt, Imperial, Inyo, Lake, Lassen, Mariposa, Modoc, Mono, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, San Benito, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Sutter, Tehama, Trinity, Tuolumne and Yuba.
