Covered California Expands CEE, CEC Help Line Hours for Open Enrollment
Releases updated 2015 insurance benefits and rates chart, IRS Form 1095-A toolkit and more

Covered California has announced it has expanded Certified Enrollment Entity (CEE) and Certified Enrollment Counselor (CEC) help line hours for the remainder of the 2015 open enrollment period. For direct assistance with eligibility questions and status of submitted paper applications, CEEs and CECs can call the help line at (855) 324-3147, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.

In addition, Covered California released various resources for its community partners, including an updated Health Insurance Benefits and Rates Chart, which provides an overview of the 2015 Covered California standardized benefit designs and out-of-pocket costs for individuals and families, by metal tier. Covered California has also released a toolkit for IRS Form 1095-A (Health Insurance Marketplace Statement). The form is used to report certain information to the IRS about individuals who enroll in a qualified health plan through the marketplace, and it allows individuals to claim the premium tax credit, to reconcile the credit on their returns with advance payments of the premium tax credit, and to file an accurate tax return.

The toolkit includes talking points, frequently asked questions, a webinar recording and slide deck, as well as Medi-Cal tax filing frequently asked questions. In late January, Covered California consumers will begin to receive a notice from Covered California with the new IRS Form 1095-A.

Covered California will hold its next community partner webinar Jan. 28 from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. (PT). The ongoing webinar series provides program updates and covers topics relevant to CEEs and CECs. To register, visit http://hbex.coveredca.com/stakeholders/webinar. Once registered, participants will receive a confirmation email with information needed to join the webinar.

Finally, Covered California reminds its community partners that those who do not complete the recertification training requirements by Jan. 31 are at risk of having their certification terminated. Covered California encourages CEEs and CECs to access the Learning Management System to complete recertification training before the Jan. 31 deadline. Questions about recertification training can be directed to training@rhainc.com.
