Covered California to Conduct Marketing, Outreach and Enrollment Assistance Advisory Group Webinar

Covered California will conduct a Marketing, Outreach and Enrollment Assistance Advisory Group webinar Aug. 18 from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. (PT). The Advisory Group is scheduled to discuss ground campaigns (local and targeted outreach, and statewide roundtable discussions); the Navigator Grant Program; marketing outreach, including research findings, the consumer renewal journal, reaching new consumers and 2014-15 campaigns; and the re-structuring of the Advisory Group. A portion of the meeting is allotted for questions and answers. Webinar registration is available online.

The purpose of the Advisory Group is to collect California-specific perspectives from key experts and stakeholders; provide advice and recommendations; and serve as a sounding board for the Covered California board and staff. The Advisory Group assists in refining policies and strategies that ensure Covered California maximizes enrollment of eligible individuals through marketing, outreach and enrollment assistance. Its core objectives are to provide advice and recommendations to Covered California to inform policymaking related to:

  1. Marketing strategies to maximize enrollment, including digital and social media, branding, communications and public relations;
  2. Outreach strategies to educate consumers and raise awareness about Covered California generally and among target populations; and
  3. Enrollment assistance options, including in-person assistance and assistance provided through Covered California service centers.
