Consent Law Attendees Rate Program Highly
Valued topics include withdrawal of care, missing patients, critical thinking scenarios

Participant feedback from CHA’s Costa Mesa and San Diego Consent Law seminars rates the program 4.66 out of five stars. Evaluation comments consistently noted that the seminar’s most beneficial sessions addressed issues that health care professionals deal with often, including withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment, patient elopements and leaving against medical advice. Also highly valued was the critical thinking session where faculty analyzed numerous common – but complicated – situations, such as parents and minors, working with “somewhat competent” patients and designating decision makers. Seminars continue in various location throughout May.

One participant’s comments included this: “Both presenters exceptional … hit home runs all day long. The best Consent Law program I have attended. I haven’t missed many the past 40 years.”
