Congress Passes 6-Month Spending Bill
Plan to Attend Hospital Advocacy Day in Washington, D.C.

The U.S. Senate has passed a continuing resolution funding the federal government through March 2013 at levels consistent with the fiscal year 2013 cap set by the Budget Control Act. Following passage, the Senate joined the House in recess. Both houses are scheduled to return after the election to a busy lame-duck session where lawmakers must address the deep cuts imposed by sequestration, as well as expiration of the physician payment fix to the Sustainable Growth Rate formula, Bush and Obama tax cuts, and the payroll tax cut.

As CHA continues to work with the California congressional delegation to oppose any further reductions to hospital payments, CHA members are encouraged to register for upcoming hospital advocacy days on Nov. 29 or Dec. 11. For more information, visit
