For Post-Acute Care Staff

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will host two-day, in-person training programs for the skilled-nursing facility (SNF) and inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) quality reporting programs (QRPs). The ‘train the trainer’ event for SNF providers will take place Aug. 13 and 14, and Aug. 15 and 16 for IRFs.

Both events are open to providers, associations, and organizations, and will be held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Baltimore, MD.

Like the May 2019 QRP provider trainings, these  events will focus on providing those responsible for training staff with information about QRP changes and updates to patient assessment instruments effective Oct. 1. The SNF event will also address the transition to the Patient Driven Payment Model. Both trainings will include an interactive session on using reports to identify opportunities for process improvement, as well as using information contained in Certification And Survey Provider Enhanced Reports (CASPER) system reports to develop quality improvement plans.

For those not able to attend in person, a URL to access the webcast will be provided prior to the event. CMS requests that both in-person and webcast participants register for this event.
