The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will host a two-day, in-depth training June 9-10 in Baltimore, MD on the implementation of the standardized patient assessment data elements to be introduced later this year.

The training will focus on inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) and long-term care hospital (LTCH) providers and the corresponding changes in reporting requirements associated with the IRF and LTCH quality reporting programs, including revisions to the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility—Patient Assessment Instrument and the Long-Term CARE Data Set, effective Oct. 1.

In-person training is on a first come, first-served basis and is limited to 250 people. CMS has negotiated a discounted hotel room rate of $149. Information on how to reserve a hotel room will be sent in a confirmation email after registering. For those not able to attend in person, the training will be webcast. Registration is required for in-person or webcast participation.
