CMS to Hold National Provider Call on Preparing Physicians for ICD-10
Oct. 25, 10:30 a.m. – noon

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is hosting a Medicare Fee-for-Service (FFS) National Provider Call on Thursday, Oct. 25, from 10:30 a.m. – noon (PT). Ginger Boyle, MD, will share Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System’s success in transitioning to the International Classification of Diseases, 10th Edition (ICD-10). In addition, subject matter experts from CMS will present information and updates on transitioning to ICD-10, including an overview of implementation requirements, plans for local coverage determination and national coverage determination ICD-10 conversions. This call is targeted for medical coders, physicians, medical office staff, nurses, non-physician practitioners, billers, educators and all Medicare FFS providers.

To receive dial-in information, register for the call at www.eventsvc.com/blhtechnologies. Registration will close at 9 a.m. Oct. 25 or when available space has been filled. According to CMS,no exceptions will be made, so early registration is critical. Prior to the call, the presentation will be posted at www.cms.gov/Outreach-and-Education/Outreach/NPC/National-Provider-Calls-and-Events.html. In addition, all registered participants will receive an e-mail on Oct. 25 with a link to the slide presentation.
